Health and Fitness Jobs Location Guide: Newcastle
Newcastle is not all about accents and bad (but surprisingly entertaining…) reality television. In fact, in 2017, Newcastle was named the best city in the UK to bring up a family, due to its low crime rates, career opportunities and abundance of green spaces to play. If that wasn’t enough, we are about to share even more reasons that you should consider pursuing your health and fitness career in Newcastle.
So, what’s so great about Newcastle?
One of our favourite things about Newcastle is the fact that you can get almost anywhere in 40 minutes and there is so much available within walking distance. With everything so close, you’ll have no excuse than to pop your trainers on and head out on foot, which is of course, a fabulous cardio-vascular activity!
In addition to this, Newcastle is super close to the beach, which means you have the best of both worlds – beautiful green spaces to workout and enjoy with your family, and the stunning beach at Tynemouth. We hear they have some pretty good fish and chips there, too!
We should also mention that the city of Newcastle is ridiculously committed to improving the health and fitness of its constituents, with the Active Newcastle program offering a huge variety of free activities that reduce the barrier for people to exercise.
